Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Resource Planner to join our team at WSP Canada. As a key member of our IT PMO, you will be responsible for overseeing global resource planning, ensuring effective resource allocation, and supporting project managers.

Main Responsibilities
  • Resource Management: Develop and implement resource allocation strategies to optimize project deliverables.
  • Resource Planning: Design, implement, and maintain resource planning tools to ensure efficient resource utilization.
  • Project Monitoring: Monitor day-to-day project activities, workloads, and corresponding resourcing to identify potential issues.
  • Conflict Resolution: Manage resource conflicts and ensure that projects are staffed with the right resources.
  • Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with stakeholders, including portfolio managers and project managers, to ensure that resource needs are met.
  • Metrics and Reporting: Develop and maintain metrics and reporting to track resource utilization and provide insights for business process improvement.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in human resource management, information technology, business, management, or a similar field.
  • Experience: 5+ years' experience in PMO or program/project management, with a focus on resourcing projects.
  • Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, and experience working with geographically dispersed resources.
