Position Overview: Registered Ultrasound Technologist

We are currently seeking a Registered Ultrasound Technologist to become an integral part of our Medical Imaging department.

Work Schedule:

The successful candidate must be available for a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, nights, and weekends, as required by operational needs.

Compensation:

The hourly wage for this position is $45.56 .

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting comprehensive ultrasound examinations, including but not limited to abdominal, obstetric/gynecological, small parts, vascular Doppler, musculoskeletal, and breast imaging.
  • Preparing patients for ultrasound procedures and verifying the accuracy of their medical history to ensure the validity of the exams.
  • Completing the examination process by reviewing images, filling out sonographer's impression sheets, and ensuring all documentation is accurate before presenting findings to radiologists via PACS.

Required Qualifications:

  • Must be registered or in the process of obtaining registration with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO).
  • Personal Liability Insurance (PLI) is mandatory.
  • An accredited college diploma in a relevant field is preferred.
  • A minimum of two years of experience in ultrasound imaging is preferred.
  • Previous experience in a hospital environment is advantageous.
  • Strong documentation and organizational skills are essential.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of human anatomy is required.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team setting.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are necessary.
  • A proven record of good attendance and adherence to professional standards is required.
