Role Summary
As a vital member of the Joint Department of Medical Imaging (JDMI), you will contribute to one of Canada's largest academic medical imaging departments, renowned for its clinical excellence and innovative practices. With over 750,000 imaging procedures conducted annually, our team utilizes state-of-the-art technology to deliver exceptional patient care and high-quality imaging results. The Ultrasound division focuses on non-invasive diagnostic imaging techniques that visualize internal body structures, including organs and blood flow.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct ultrasound imaging procedures in various departments as required.
  • Operate and maintain ultrasound and medical imaging equipment, ensuring optimal functionality.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports to document procedures and findings, and engage in educational and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Undertake additional patient care responsibilities to enhance overall patient experience.

Required Qualifications

  • Certification from Sonography Canada or equivalent.
  • Current registration with CMRITO and completion of required continuing education.
  • BCLS Level II certification.
  • Preferred membership with Sonography Canada.
  • Registration with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers in relevant specialties is an asset.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to demonstrate empathy in challenging situations.
  • Proven collaborative approach to healthcare practice.
  • Excellent judgment and commitment to patient safety.
  • Ability to perform efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes.
