Registered Ultrasound Technologist

Position Overview

Our Medical Imaging department is seeking a Registered Ultrasound Technologist to contribute to our mission of providing high-quality healthcare services.

Work Schedule:

Candidates must be available for rotating shifts, including days, evenings, nights, and weekends.

Compensation:

Hourly Rate: $45.56

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting comprehensive ultrasound examinations, including abdomen, obstetrics/gynecology, small parts, vascular Doppler, musculoskeletal, and breast imaging.
  • Preparing and evaluating patients for ultrasound procedures, ensuring the accuracy of exam validity based on medical history.
  • Completing the examination process by reviewing images, finalizing sonographer's impression sheets, and ensuring documentation is presented to radiologists for reporting via PACS.

Required Qualifications:

  • Registration or in the process of obtaining registration with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO).
  • Personal Liability Insurance (PLI) is mandatory.
  • An accredited college diploma is preferred.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in all aspects of ultrasound is preferred.
  • Previous experience in a hospital environment is an asset.
  • Strong documentation and communication skills are essential.
  • In-depth knowledge of human anatomy is required.
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a commitment to customer service.
  • A proven record of excellent attendance and a discipline-free history is required.
