Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and certified Ultrasound Technologist to join our team. As a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist, you will be responsible for performing a variety of ultrasound examinations on patients, utilizing state-of-the-art equipment and technology.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure patient identification, safety, and preparation are correct prior to a scan, maintaining patient confidentiality.
  • Greet patients, explain forthcoming tests, position patients, and prepare them for examinations.
  • Observe patients during diagnostic procedures, making note of any symptoms or changes in vital signs and summoning medical aid when necessary.
  • Perform quality control assessments as required, taking all reasonable precautions and working in compliance with related policies, health and safety legislation, and best practices.
  • Follow procedures for proper equipment maintenance, ensuring equipment and instruments are performing efficiently and effectively.
  • Prepare and organize reports as required.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • 0-2 years of related experience.
  • CMRTO certification.
  • Current CPR certificate.
  • Vascular, MSK & OB experience is an asset.
  • Ability to perform all types of ultrasound procedures on various types of ultrasound equipment.
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuing education and training.
  • Effective decision-making skills and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
