Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Restaurant Operations Manager to join our team at Wind Restaurant. As an Assistant Restaurant Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our restaurant, ensuring that all aspects of the business run smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management
    • Supervise a team of 3-4 staff members, providing guidance and support to ensure excellent customer service and high-quality food preparation.
    • Conduct performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
  • Operations and Logistics
    • Manage inventory and supplies, ensuring that all necessary items are stocked and available for use.
    • Coordinate with suppliers to negotiate prices and ensure timely delivery of goods.
    • Implement operational procedures to ensure efficient service and minimize waste.
  • Customer Service and Relations
    • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to customer complaints and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
    • Develop and maintain relationships with regular customers, ensuring that they feel valued and appreciated.
  • Financial Management
    • Manage cash and credit transactions, ensuring accurate and timely processing of payments.
    • Prepare and submit financial reports, including balance sheets and cash reports.
  • Marketing and Promotion
    • Participate in marketing plans and implementation, including social media and advertising campaigns.
    • Develop and execute promotions and events to drive sales and increase customer engagement.
  • Health and Safety
    • Ensure that all health and safety regulations are followed, including proper food handling and storage procedures.
    • Conduct regular safety inspections to identify and address potential hazards.
  • Computer and Technology
    • Operate electronic cash registers and point-of-sale systems, ensuring accurate and efficient processing of transactions.
    • Use computer software to manage inventory, track sales, and analyze customer data.
  • Work Environment and Physical Demands
    • Work in a fast-paced environment, with tight deadlines and high levels of pressure.
    • Stand for extended periods, lift heavy loads, and perform repetitive tasks.

Requirements
  • 2 years of experience in a restaurant or hospitality management role.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in hospitality or a related field an asset.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff, customers, and suppliers.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members.
