Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Staff Accountant to join our team at CB Canada. As a Staff Accountant, you will be responsible for providing financial support to our clients, including compilations, bookkeeping, and tax preparation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Completion of financial statements, tax returns, and other financial documents for clients.
  • Preparation of working papers, financial statements, and other financial reports.
  • Remittances of source deductions, WSIB, EHT, and Sales Tax.
  • Draft responses to client queries for manager review.
  • Build effective working relationships with client contacts, and respond effectively to client requests and suggestions related to the engagement.
  • Identify new business opportunities with existing clients.

Requirements:

  • Post-secondary education in business administration, preferably with a specialization in accounting.
  • In pursuit of CPA designation considered an asset.
  • 2-4 years experience in the areas of bookkeeping and tax return preparation, preferably in public accounting.
  • Advanced computer skills in QuickBooks, Profile, CaseWare, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to prioritize workloads and the flexibility to manage multiple tasks and consistently meet client deadlines.
