Project Resource Coordinator II

Seaspan is in search of a Planner II to enhance ship new construction initiatives by crafting and overseeing labor resource strategies. This position entails allocating the contract budget, formulating project staffing and trade plans, and evaluating resource performance metrics. Furthermore, the Planner II will engage in the implementation of the Rolling Wave Planning Process, manage project resources, and contribute to Business Intelligence reporting.
Key Responsibilities:- Examine project schedules and provide insights on production activities
- Calculate budgets for activities during adjustments in capacity planning
- Facilitate the Rolling Wave Planning Process by applying efficiency standards to reallocate budgets
- Oversee project resources and take part in Earned Value Management evaluations
- Analyze data sets and generate management reports
- Develop and sustain staffing and trade plans
- Collaborate with the HR team on hiring strategies
- Enhance utilization metrics
- Assist in Business Intelligence reporting
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in planning or production control
- At least 1 year of experience in the shipbuilding sector
- Familiarity with Project Controls principles
- Experience in program or project management
- Strong capabilities in data analysis
- Demonstrated success in dynamic environments
- Excellent communication abilities
- Advanced proficiency in Excel
- Capacity to perform well under pressure
- Canadian Government Security clearance is mandatory
Salary Range: $76,500 - $93,500 based on experience and skills. Seaspan provides a competitive total compensation package that includes pension contributions, bonus programs, extended medical benefits, and more.
