IT Support Specialist

Position Overview

The IT Support Specialist will work under the supervision of the IT Security and Infrastructure Manager, assisting the Help Desk team with various technical support responsibilities. This role includes preparing and configuring new devices, managing equipment relocations, and addressing daily support inquiries and tickets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive IT support across all branches of the organization.
  • Facilitate the onboarding and offboarding processes for employees.
  • Maintain an accurate inventory of IT hardware and software.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to IT equipment and software.
  • Ensure timely resolution of requests and issues, focusing on customer satisfaction.
  • Assist with various IT operational tasks and projects as assigned.
  • Consult technical manuals and user guides to implement effective solutions.
  • Document and maintain a log of problems and solutions for future reference.
  • Provide training and support to users facing technical difficulties.
  • Collaborate on the redesign of applications and software.

Qualifications

  • College diploma or university degree in Computer Science.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or ITIL are advantageous.
  • Familiarity with Windows and MacOS operating systems and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Knowledge of PC hardware, printers, and audio/visual equipment.
  • Experience with Active Directory and Azure AD administration.
  • Strong customer service orientation with technical proficiency.

Work Environment

  • Full-time on-site work with potential for hybrid arrangements.
  • Ability to travel to various locations as required.
  • Physical ability to lift and transport IT equipment.
