We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Retail Store Supervisor to join our team at YOUR DOLLAR STORE WITH MORE. Key Responsibilities:
  • Assign sales workers to duties and ensure they have the necessary training and support to excel in their roles.
  • Hire and train new staff members, or arrange for their training, to ensure they meet our high standards.
  • Authorize payments by cheque and manage cash handling procedures to maintain accuracy and security.
  • Order merchandise and manage inventory levels to meet customer demand and minimize waste.
  • Establish work schedules and ensure that all staff members are aware of their responsibilities and deadlines.
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of cashiers and other store staff to ensure seamless customer service and efficient operations.
  • Prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising, and personnel matters to inform business decisions and drive growth.
  • Resolve customer complaints, supply shortages, and other issues that may arise, demonstrating excellent problem-solving skills and a customer-centric approach.
  • Organize and maintain inventory, ensuring that stock levels are accurate and up-to-date.
Requirements:
  • 3-4 years of experience in a retail environment, preferably in a supervisory or management role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and lead a team.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to make informed decisions and drive business growth.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
  • Flexibility and adaptability, with the ability to adjust to changing circumstances and priorities.
