Senior Associate, Fire Investigations Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Associate to join our Fire Investigations team at 30 Forensic Engineering. As a Senior Associate, you will play a key role in leading investigations, providing technical expertise, and mentoring junior team members.
Key Responsibilities- Lead complex fire investigations, including desk studies and field investigations, to identify root causes and provide recommendations for prevention.
- Provide technical guidance and support to junior team members, including performance evaluations and development planning.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and provide updates throughout the investigation process.
- Develop and implement testing and analysis protocols to ensure accurate and reliable results.
- Participate in business development activities, including identifying new market opportunities and promoting the company's services.
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments and advancements in fire investigation techniques.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in fire investigation, with a strong background in forensic engineering and a proven track record of leading complex investigations.
- Current registration with Engineers and Geoscientists BC and APEGA.
- Current certification as a Fire and Explosion Investigator (CFEI).
- Preferred but not required: additional certifications such as CVFI, CFI, WETT, GPL, or GPI.
- Knowledge of regulatory codes and standards, including NFPA and other relevant codes.
- Excellent technical writing and communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical information to clients and stakeholders.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide team members.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound judgments.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to collaboration and teamwork.
- Flexibility and adaptability, with the ability to adjust to changing priorities and deadlines.
