Our dedicated team comprises professional engineers, investigators, engineering technicians, and support personnel, bolstered by collaborations with leading scientists, standard-setting bodies, and specialized consultants across North America, catering to a diverse range of sectors.
Objective:
The Lead Associate will report to the Practice Head of the Fire and Electrical Division, playing a pivotal role in guiding one or two Associates. This position involves collaborating with subject matter experts to provide consultations to clients, conducting examinations, testing, and analysis, as well as preparing comprehensive engineering reports and findings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver technical leadership in the Group's investigations, projects, and assignments
- Mentor and oversee Associates
- Engage with clients and Fire/Police Departments
- Establish testing protocols
- Contribute to business development and market expansion initiatives
- Draft technical reports
- Oversee projects and ensure timely and budget-compliant report delivery
- Provide expert testimony in legal proceedings
- Conduct site examinations and operate relevant systems/equipment
Qualifications:
- Experience at an intermediate to senior project management level
- Registered with Engineers and Geoscientists BC and APEGA
- Certified Fire and Explosion Investigator (CFEI)
- Familiarity with NFPA codes and other relevant standards
- Possession of a valid driver's license and access to a vehicle
- Exceptional technical writing capabilities
