Key Responsibilities:
- Manage both internal and external claims relationships for Commercial and Specialty Lines, along with select Personal Lines claims and underwriting.
- Collaborate with Clients, Agents, Brokers, and Intact business partners to advocate for our Best in Class claims service.
- Represent our brand with enthusiasm and integrity.
- Develop and sustain business relationships with clients, agents, and brokers to support new business initiatives, retention, and cross-selling across all lines and regions.
- Lead or engage in project/client presentations to both prospective and existing clients and brokers to advance claims service initiatives.
- Actively gather market intelligence from various internal and external sources to provide underwriting and claims leadership with timely insights into claims trends, enabling strategic decisions and process enhancements.
- Negotiate claim services by understanding the client's business or broker portfolio, ensuring alignment with service requirements and goals.
- Design and implement tailored account claims strategies for major clients, ensuring adherence to performance guarantees and special handling instructions as necessary.
- Monitor client service outcomes and address any pertinent service issues by collaborating with claims, underwriting, agents, brokers, and clients to develop resolution strategies.
- Support the appropriate audit processes with external claims service partners when required.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant legal and regulatory standards, maintaining appropriate measures for adherence.
- Assist in the marketing and sales of products and services to both new and existing clients.
- Foster internal relationships with key stakeholders, including claims, underwriting, and risk control teams.
- Encourage the internalization of claims processes and the utilization of strategic vendor partners.
Qualifications:
To excel in this role, you should possess:
- A minimum of 5 years of technical expertise in claims handling or underwriting within Commercial and Specialty Lines.
- Comprehensive knowledge of relevant regulatory and legal requirements applicable to this position.
- Strong understanding of the insurance industry, particularly in the context of Commercial and Specialty Lines client services and claims products.
- Ability to analyze claims data and articulate findings effectively.
- Excellent interpersonal skills for building client relationships and supporting sales initiatives.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Proficient presentation and negotiation skills, along with project management and problem-solving capabilities.
- Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Salesforce.
- An undergraduate degree and CIP designation are preferred.
