Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Insurance Account Representative to join our Desjardins Agent team. As an Insurance Account Representative, you will be responsible for developing leads, scheduling appointments, identifying customer needs, and marketing appropriate products and services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Generation: Develop leads and schedule appointments to meet sales targets.
  • Customer Service: Provide prompt, accurate, and friendly customer service, including responding to inquiries regarding insurance availability, eligibility, coverages, policy changes, transfers, claim submissions, and billing clarification.
  • Marketing and Sales: Work with the agent to establish and meet marketing goals, and market appropriate products and services to customers.

Requirements:

  • Sales Experience: Sales experience, preferably in outside sales or inside sales representative, retail sales associate, or telemarketing.
  • Excellent Interpersonal Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and colleagues.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, including written, verbal, and listening skills.
  • Problem-Solving: Proactive in problem-solving, with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions.
  • Customer Service: Dedicated to customer service, with a focus on providing exceptional service to customers.
  • Multi-Tasking: Ability to multi-task, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Presentation Skills: Ability to make presentations to potential customers, with confidence and poise.
  • License: Property & Casualty license, preferably obtained or able to obtain.
  • Language Skills: Fluency in Mandarin and/or Cantonese is an asset.

Training and Development:

You will be hired to work at The Personal Insurance Company for a period of up to 90 days to allow you to complete training and licensing. If training and licensing are successfully completed, you will be considered for employment with an independent contractor Desjardins Agent.
