About the Role

As a key leader in shaping the future of Fix Network, the Director of Talent Acquisition and Development will play a crucial role in guiding a dedicated recruitment team in crafting, implementing, and refining our recruitment strategies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Execute Recruitment Strategies: Collaborate with department heads to align talent acquisition strategies with the company's long-term goals and develop comprehensive talent acquisition plans that meet the organization's needs.
  • Lead the Talent Acquisition Team: Manage, mentor, and motivate the talent acquisition team to ensure they have the tools, resources, and support needed to succeed.
  • Identify and Implement Innovative Sourcing Strategies: Develop and implement cutting-edge recruitment strategies to attract top talent, including the use of social media, job boards, recruitment agencies, educational institutions, and industry professionals.
  • Develop and Maintain a Strong Employer Brand: Ensure the company's online presence effectively communicates the company culture and values, and develop a strong employer brand that attracts high-quality candidates.
  • Ensure Compliance with Immigration Laws and Regulations: Work closely with immigration authorities, labor departments, and other relevant government bodies to ensure compliance with immigration laws and regulations.
  • Develop Programs for Skilled Immigrants: Create programs to help skilled immigrants integrate into the local workforce and community, including language training, cultural orientation, and support services.
  • Network and Build Relationships: Network through industry contacts, association memberships, trade groups, and employees to build and maintain lasting relationships with corporate departments, key business partners, and employees.
Requirements
  • Education: Diploma/Degree in Human Resources or other appropriate field preferred.
  • Language Skills: English is a must, French and Spanish (written and spoken) is considered an asset.
  • Skills and Abilities: Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively with different managers, candidate personalities, etc. Good training, coaching, and active listening skills are essential.
