Position Overview: The Quality Assurance Associate plays a pivotal role in assisting management with the execution of food safety and quality assurance protocols. This position involves training and supervising a team of 4-6 quality auditors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Guide, mentor, and train team members to meet established quality benchmarks.
  • Oversee product quality assurance processes.
  • Foster a collaborative and engaged workforce to enhance operational outcomes.
  • Advise management on quality assurance and food safety practices within the manufacturing environment.
  • Ensure compliance with sanitation protocols and food safety regulations.
  • Engage actively in the production area, dedicating approximately 60% of the shift to hands-on quality control activities.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Management, Business Administration (or a related discipline), Science, Agricultural Business, Industrial Management, Industrial Technology, or a Mathematics-related field with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.7 preferred, or 5+ years of relevant supervisory experience.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, or possess authorization to work in the United States.
  • Applicants must not require sponsorship for an employment visa now or in the future.
  • Comfortable with the preparation and consumption of various Hormel Foods products, including but not limited to pork, beef, chicken, and peanuts.
  • Willingness to relocate as necessary.

Training: The training program is hands-on, encompassing supervisory training and courses in Statistical Process Control (SPC), Total Quality Control (TQC), and Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP).
