Job Summary:
Pilkington is seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Manager to lead our manufacturing quality group. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing quality control and improvement programs, procedures, and practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with customers, corporate personnel, and plant personnel to design and implement quality control and improvement programs.
- Audit production processes, equipment, and employee performances to ensure adherence to quality procedures.
- Select, develop, train, motivate, and appraise subordinate personnel to provide a competent workforce.
- Investigate customer complaints, determine the cause of non-conforming quality, and implement corrective actions to resolve issues.
- Manage supplier quality, including glass and components.
- Support the Quality Circle process and complete quality reports as required.
- Ensure compliance with IATF 16949 standards and report any containment statuses to the registrar.
- Participate in the plant leadership team to achieve annual budgets, improve plant performance, and meet customer expectations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in an automotive manufacturing facility or Tier 1 supplier.
- Internal Auditor experience and/or certification.
- Prior experience with Quality Tools: APQP, FMEA, MSA, SPC, and PPAP.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Previous experience in glass or plastic injection molding.
- Previous experience in a leadership/supervisory position.
