Job Purpose: The role involves assisting management in the execution of food safety and quality assurance protocols. This position includes training and overseeing a team of 4-6 quality auditors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, direct, and mentor team members to meet quality benchmarks.
- Oversee product quality assurance processes.
- Foster a collaborative and engaged workforce to enhance business outcomes.
- Provide expert guidance to management on quality and food safety within the manufacturing environment.
- Supervise sanitation practices and ensure compliance with food safety standards.
- This role is highly interactive, with Quality Control Supervisors spending approximately 60% of their shift actively engaged in the production area.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree in Management, Business Administration (or a related field), Science, Agricultural Business, Industrial Management, Industrial Technology, or a Math-related discipline with a minimum preferred GPA of 2.7, or at least 5 years of relevant supervisory experience.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen, National, lawful permanent resident, or possess authorization to work in the United States.
- Applicants must not require sponsorship for an employment visa.
- Candidates should be comfortable with the preparation and consumption of various Hormel Foods products, including but not limited to pork, beef, chicken, and peanuts.
- Willingness to relocate is required.
Training: The training program is hands-on and includes supervisory training along with courses in Statistical Process Control (SPC), Total Quality Control (TQC), and Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP).
