Position Overview

The Corporate Affairs division is in search of a skilled finance and investment communications writer.

We seek a driven individual eager to enhance their expertise within a prominent global financial organization, or an investment expert with a passion for writing looking to transition into a communications-focused role.

In collaboration with the Managing Director of Corporate Affairs and the Managing Director of Strategic Communications, you will engage with internal experts to research and create communication materials that foster a comprehensive understanding of our investment strategies and outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Research, compose, edit, and oversee the creation of financial and investment management editorial content and other communications for diverse audiences, utilizing various channels (e.g., internal news, speeches, white papers, social media, presentations, etc.).
  • Simultaneously manage multiple editorial projects at different stages of development.
  • Contribute innovative ideas and content as part of a collaborative team, working closely with senior leadership and subject matter experts across a complex organization.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Adept writer: possessing excellent communication skills, intellectual curiosity, and a solid understanding of capital markets and institutional investing. You are enthusiastic about proposing insightful content ideas, meticulous about detail, and have a strong editorial background with a focus on accuracy.
  • A compelling storyteller: capable of transforming intricate financial concepts into clear, engaging content suitable for various formats including digital, print, video, and infographics.
  • A proactive self-starter: able to share experiences of collaborating with dynamic teams in a feedback-rich environment. You thrive in teamwork, adeptly prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • A relationship builder: recognized for your interpersonal skills, you easily connect with colleagues and maintain strong relationships with internal teams and external partners.

Qualifications:

  • A BA, BS, MA, or MS in communications, journalism, business, or a related discipline.
  • Experience in asset management, investment commentary, or financial writing, with a portfolio showcasing exceptional writing abilities and the capacity to manage writing projects for various audiences, including executive-level stakeholders.
