About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Corporate Communications Specialist to join our team at Société Financière Manuvie. As a key member of our Global Communications team, you will play a critical role in developing and executing communications strategies that support our company's financial and corporate objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead Financial Communications: Develop and deliver communications related to our company's quarterly earnings and annual reporting cycles, working closely with Investor Relations, Office of the Corporate Secretary, and Corporate Strategy to create consistent themes about our company's strategy and financial performance.
  • Support Investor Relations: Assist in the development of key messages tied to all financial transactions, ensuring timely and accurate communication to stakeholders.
  • Design and Execute Communications Plans: Create and implement sustained and episodic communications plans that consider both proactive and reactive tactics, collaborating with relevant leads across Global Communications and other functions.
  • Monitor Industry Trends: Proactively analyze industry and market trends, as well as competitor activities and earnings releases, to provide insightful recommendations and support business objectives.
  • Collaborate with Global Finance Leadership: Partner closely with the Global Finance leadership team to plan and respond to evolving communication needs, both internally and externally.
  • Reputation Management: Monitor relevant reputation risks and opportunities with Communications team peers, contributing to Reputation Response preparedness and Reputation Outlook activities.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree: A bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as communications, finance, or business.
  • 10+ Years of Experience: At least 10 years of relevant work experience gained in finance communications at a publicly traded company, preferably in the financial services industry.
  • Strong Executive Speechwriting Skills: Excellent executive speechwriting skills, with a proven track record of success in handling multiple projects and tying results to strategic business objectives.
