Position Overview
We are seeking a Legal Claims Unit Supervisor to lead our expanding team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the daily operations of Law Clerks, Legal Assistants, and Administrative Support staff.
- Set and communicate clear performance goals for your team, regularly assessing progress towards these objectives.
- Enhance employee engagement by monitoring team morale and implementing engagement strategies.
- Evaluate team strengths and areas for improvement, providing actionable recommendations.
- Deliver ongoing feedback, mentorship, and coaching to team members.
- Identify and nurture key talent, offering development opportunities to maximize engagement.
- Lead the recruitment process, including interviewing, selection, and onboarding of new hires.
- Facilitate regular team meetings and one-on-ones to ensure effective communication.
- Guide your team in understanding and applying relevant policies and procedures.
- Drive change initiatives while maintaining clear communication about new processes and workflows.
- Organize office operations and implement effective systems.
- Collaborate with HR in the recruitment and onboarding processes.
- Participate in project-based assignments as directed by leadership.
- Compile and analyze data to monitor and anticipate legal trends.
Qualifications:
- A University Degree or College Diploma in a relevant field (legal, paralegal, or management) or equivalent experience.
- Five to eight years of experience in a litigation setting or similar relevant background.
- At least two years of management experience or comparable leadership experience.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain positive relationships.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, I-Manager, and other e-discovery tools.
- Demonstrated project management capabilities with a history of successful project execution.
- Experience in implementing operational changes and fostering innovative thinking.
- Proven ability to lead a large team, establish performance metrics, and maintain employee engagement.
