Culinary Support Staff

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Dietary Aide to join our team at Southbridge Care Homes. As a Dietary Aide, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the highest quality of food and dining experience for our residents.
Key Responsibilities- Food Service Support: Assist in the setup, preparation, and serving of meals in a professional and courteous manner.
- Cleanliness and Sanitation: Maintain the cleanliness of the kitchen and dining area, including dishware, cutlery, and equipment.
- Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to residents and guests, responding to their needs and concerns in a timely and respectful manner.
- Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with the culinary team to ensure seamless meal service and maintain a positive work environment.
- Quality Assurance: Participate in quality improvement initiatives to ensure the highest standards of food quality and service.
- Training and Development: Assist in the orientation and training of new dietary employees and participate in ongoing professional development to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Education and Certification: Possess a Food Handler's Certificate and a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: Previous experience in the food service industry and working with seniors is preferred.
- Skills: Demonstrated excellent customer service skills, physical ability to lift and transfer heavy items, and proficiency in a second language is considered an asset.
- Clearance: Must provide a complete and current Vulnerable Sector Check (including a Criminal Background Check) or be willing to obtain one.
