Senior Process Engineer Opportunity

CB Canada is seeking a highly skilled Senior Process Engineer to join our team in Sherwood Park, Alberta. As a key member of our EPCM consulting business, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality engineering services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform conceptual, basic, and detailed engineering design in accordance with project execution plans and design/regulatory guidelines.
  • Lead and mentor junior engineers and designers, providing guidance and support on technical issues.
  • Define, plan, and steward engineering scope of work, monitoring schedule, costs, and quality.
  • Interface with project team members and client representatives, ensuring timely receipt and delivery of information.
  • Prepare reports and estimates, including resource estimates, deliverable lists, and discipline lead status reports.
Requirements:
  • A Chemical Engineering degree with 10+ years of progressive engineering experience and 5+ years' leadership experience within an EPCM/industrial plant environment.
  • Registration with the Association of Professional Engineers & Geoscientists of Alberta (APEGA) as a Practicing Professional Engineer (P.Eng.).
  • Strong technical skills in Process Simulation and hydraulic evaluation using industry-accepted software.
  • Familiarity with fertilizer processes, including pipe reactor, granulation, crystallization, blending, and bagging of aluminum sulphate, ammonium phosphate, ammonium sulphate, and potash production.
  • Experience with equipment and instrument sizing/selection, including separators, columns, pumps, control valves, PSVs, etc.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and application of industry codes and standards applicable to the discipline, including API 505, 520, 521, 526, 2000; ANSI, NFPA, etc.
  • Leadership experience and proven ability with planning engineering work execution, preparing key deliverables, and ensuring conformance to standards throughout project stages.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driver's abstract.
