Position Overview

Role: Center of Excellence Technical Support Engineer

Key Responsibilities:
As a Center of Excellence Technical Support Engineer, your duties will include:

  • Maintaining the reliability and efficiency of client applications while resolving any technical challenges.
  • Assisting Application Engineers with technical issues during new site launches, system upgrades, and expansions.
  • Collaborating with our global R&D Solutions team to handle escalated issues.
  • Identifying and recommending corrective actions for technical application challenges encountered in the field or internally.
  • Addressing technical inquiries from end customers, application engineers, and engineering teams.
  • Creating and sharing knowledge through the development of knowledge base articles related to technical problems and their solutions.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), focusing on Operation, Performance, and Quality.
  • Technical proficiency in troubleshooting HMI or SCADA systems.
  • Strong skills in software and database troubleshooting, diagnosis, and resolution.
  • Familiarity with SQL Database querying and programming.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset.
  • Self-driven, proactive, and customer-oriented with a positive outlook.
  • Quick learner with a curious nature.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
  • Ability to engage effectively with individuals from diverse technical backgrounds.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally to various customer locations globally.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in VB.NET, C#, and HTML5 programming.
  • Experience with Angular, JavaScript, C#, ASP.NET, and .NET CORE technologies.
  • Familiarity with AVEVA products, particularly System Platform, Historian, and InTouch.
  • Basic knowledge of control systems and PLCs.
