Reports to: Clinical Director, Acute Care Mental Health and Allied Health
Status: Permanent Full-Time
As a vital member of the multidisciplinary healthcare team, the MANAGER - Outpatient Mental Health and Addiction Services will be responsible for leveraging strong leadership skills to enhance departmental performance focused on quality patient care. Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and developing a high-performing team dedicated to mental health services.
- Creating and managing budgets that reflect fiscal responsibility.
- Engaging in strategic planning and evaluating departmental initiatives.
- Promoting professional development and educational opportunities for staff and patients.
- Conducting administrative duties and facilitating departmental meetings.
- Ensuring a safe and supportive environment for both patients and staff.
- Addressing patient care issues and fostering communication with families.
- Implementing change management strategies effectively.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Health or Social Sciences or equivalent.
- Relevant experience in mental health or public administration is advantageous.
- Specialty certification in Mental Health or related fields is a plus.
- Up to six years of relevant experience in mental health or clinical settings.
- Three to five years of supervisory or management experience.
- Strong leadership and motivational capabilities.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
- Proven experience working with mental health and addiction clients and their families.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation and policies affecting healthcare delivery.
