Reports to: Clinical Director, Acute Care Mental Health and Allied Health
Status: Permanent Full-Time

As a key member of the multidisciplinary healthcare team, the MANAGER - Outpatient Mental Health and Addiction Services will be responsible for:

  • Utilizing strong leadership skills to guide and enhance a department focused on delivering high-quality patient care.
  • Building and nurturing a cohesive and effective team.
  • Developing and overseeing budgets that are fiscally responsible.
  • Engaging in strategic planning and evaluation of departmental initiatives.
  • Promoting professional development and educational opportunities for staff, patients, and families.
  • Conducting administrative duties and facilitating departmental meetings.
  • Ensuring a safe and supportive environment for both patients and staff.
  • Maintaining communication with patients and their families to address care issues and concerns.
  • Implementing change management initiatives to enhance service delivery.

Required Qualifications

  • A Master's degree in Health or Social Sciences or an equivalent qualification.
  • Relevant experience in mental health or a related clinical field, ideally up to six years.
  • A minimum of three to five years in a supervisory or management role.
  • Membership or eligibility in a relevant professional association.
  • Proven leadership and motivational capabilities.
  • Strong client service orientation and ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to make sound decisions and maintain composure under pressure.
  • Proficiency in computer applications, particularly Microsoft Office and Outlook.
  • Knowledge of mental health and addiction systems, relevant legislation, and human resources policies.
