Position – Senior Credit & Collections Administrator
Reporting to: Credit Manager
Location: Calgary, Alberta
Carrier Enterprise Canada, a leading entity in the HVAC/R distribution sector, is seeking a qualified Senior Credit & Collections Administrator. This role is essential in overseeing the credit and collections functions, ensuring efficient payment processes while minimizing the risk of financial losses.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate credit applications and determine creditworthiness, establishing appropriate credit limits.
- Conduct daily collections activities via phone and email to secure timely payments from clients.
- Investigate and resolve customer disputes and deductions promptly.
- Collaborate with sales and management to address unresolved issues.
- Recommend accounts for third-party collection when necessary.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of the Construction Act as it pertains to credit management.
- Engage regularly with Sales, Billing, and Operations teams to ensure seamless communication.
- Prepare detailed reconciliations for customers as required.
- Handle incoming inquiries from customers in a structured environment.
- Conduct annual credit reviews for all accounts in accordance with company policy.
- Analyze and process specific credit information for commercial lines.
- Monitor orders held within the system to manage risk effectively.
- Educate customers on company credit policies and procedures.
- Continuously seek to improve processes and enhance service quality.
- Align business development initiatives with corporate objectives.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a Senior Credit & Collections role or similar, with preference for candidates with HVAC experience.
- Post-secondary education in a relevant field.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Strong negotiation and analytical skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, independent work environment.
- Excellent organizational and time management capabilities.
- A positive attitude and a collaborative team spirit.
- Fluency in both French and English is an asset.
