Job Title: Executive Chef

We are seeking an experienced Executive Chef to join our team at 2219333 Ontario Inc. as a key member of our culinary operations.

About the Role

The Executive Chef will be responsible for leading our culinary team, overseeing menu planning, food preparation, and presentation. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a strong passion for food, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team of cooks and kitchen staff
  • Develop and implement menus that meet quality and presentation standards
  • Estimate food costs, manage inventory, and maintain records of food consumption and sales
  • Analyze operating costs and other data to optimize kitchen operations
  • Train and develop staff in preparation, cooking, and presentation techniques
  • Supervise activities of sous-chefs, specialist chefs, and cooks
  • Plan and direct food preparation and cooking activities for multiple restaurants
  • Plan menus and ensure food meets quality standards
  • Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances
  • Recruit and hire staff
Requirements
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience as a chef or in a related role
  • Strong leadership and management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures
  • Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions
Working Conditions

The Executive Chef will work in a commercial kitchen environment, with regular exposure to heat, noise, and physical demands. The role requires standing for long periods, lifting heavy objects, and working in a fast-paced environment.
