About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Automotive Technician to join our team at Sysco Canada. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our fleet of commercial transport trucks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on commercial transport trucks, including adjustments, repairs, and replacements of parts and components.
  • Diagnostic and Troubleshooting: Inspect and test mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions, and diagnose issues with automotive systems and components.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to our drivers and other stakeholders, including advising on work performed and future repair requirements.
  • Reporting and Record-Keeping: Complete reports to record problems and work performed, and maintain accurate records of vehicle maintenance and repairs.
  • Teamwork and Training: Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve maintenance goals, and provide coaching and instruction to apprentices as needed.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related field.
  • Certifications: Truck-Trailer Repairer Red Seal Endorsement.
  • Language: English.
