About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Automotive Mechanic to join our team at Sysco Canada. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our fleet of commercial transport trucks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake pad replacements.
  • Repair and Diagnosis: Troubleshoot and repair complex mechanical issues with commercial transport trucks, including diesel engines and truck-trailer systems.
  • Quality Control: Inspect and test mechanical units to ensure they meet manufacturer specifications.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to our drivers and other stakeholders, including communicating repair status and estimated completion times.
  • Teamwork: Collaborate with other maintenance team members to ensure efficient and effective maintenance operations.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related field.
  • Certifications: Truck-Trailer Repairer Red Seal Endorsement.
  • Language: English.
