About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Automotive Mechanic to join our team at Sysco Canada. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our fleet of commercial transport trucks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on commercial transport trucks, including adjustments, repairs, and replacements of parts and components.
  • Diagnostic and Troubleshooting: Inspect and test mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions, and diagnose and repair issues with automotive systems and components.
  • Quality Control: Test and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer's specifications, and ensure that all work meets quality standards.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to our drivers and other stakeholders, and communicate effectively with them regarding work performed and future repair requirements.
  • Teamwork: Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve maintenance goals and objectives.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related field.
  • Certifications: Truck-Trailer Repairer Red Seal Endorsement.
  • Skills: Strong mechanical aptitude, excellent problem-solving skills, and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
