Farm Operations Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Farm Operations Manager to join our team at Canadian Farms Produce Inc. as a Crop Production Supervisor. This is a key leadership position that requires a strong background in agricultural operations and a proven track record of success in managing farm teams.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and Implement Farm Safety and Bio-Security Procedures
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing effective farm safety and bio-security procedures to ensure the health and well-being of our farm workers and the quality of our produce.
Maintain Financial and Production RecordsThe Crop Production Supervisor will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial and production records, including crop yields, expenses, and sales data.
Provide Agricultural Crop ServicesThe successful candidate will be responsible for providing a range of agricultural crop services, including plowing, irrigating, cultivating, spraying, and harvesting.
Supervise and Oversee Farm OperationsThe Crop Production Supervisor will be responsible for supervising and overseeing the work of general farm workers and harvesting laborers, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
Maintain Quality Control and Production RecordsThe successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining quality control and production records, including crop quality, yields, and production schedules.
Operate and Maintain Farm Machinery and EquipmentThe Crop Production Supervisor will be responsible for operating and maintaining farm machinery and equipment, including tractors, plows, and irrigation systems.
Perform General Farm DutiesThe successful candidate will be responsible for performing a range of general farm duties, including maintenance, repairs, and other tasks as required.
Requirements- Education
A high school diploma or equivalent is required. A degree in agriculture or a related field is an asset.
ExperienceA minimum of 1 year of experience in farm operations or a related field is required. Experience in supervising farm teams is an asset.
LanguageFluency in English is required.
Work EnvironmentThe successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and a physically demanding workload.
Personal SuitabilityThe Crop Production Supervisor must be an organized and team-oriented individual with excellent communication skills and a strong attention to detail.
