Job Title: Team Lead Health Services Programs

The Team Lead, Health Services Programs plays a pivotal role in overseeing a multi-disciplinary team to support Health Services (HS) and Disability Management (DM) programs for US and Canadian employees and candidates. This position involves administering, developing, delivering, analyzing, and managing systems related to medical fitness for duty and medical leaves in alignment with organizational objectives, providing solutions, and implementing programs.

This strategic role provides leadership to HS Analysts, Specialists, and Coordinators, guiding the implementation of HS/DM programs and administrative processes. As a business-oriented partner, the Team Lead offers support for all HS/DM programs across various company levels and departments, including Human Resources, Talent Acquisition, Operations, and others, as well as external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Manage and lead Health Services Specialists, Analysts, and Coordinators.
  2. Oversee vendors, ensuring adherence to Master Service Level Agreement for contracts worth approximately $2 million.
  3. Provide escalated administrative support and guidance on Health Services program implementation.
  4. Review, develop, implement, and monitor administrative procedures for Health Services policies and programs in both the US and Canada.
  5. Assist in developing and managing policies and programs related to medical fitness for duty, including business planning, metrics, and budgeting.
  6. Represent the company in hearings and other forums related to Health Services Program delivery.
  7. Lead and collaborate with other stakeholders to address and mitigate medical fitness for duty risks.
  8. Facilitate and participate in training development and delivery for Health Services and medical fitness for duty programs.
Requirements:
  1. Bachelor's Degree in Health Care Management, Systems, or a related field.
  2. Minimum two years of experience managing direct reports.
  3. Experience in program administration and third-party vendor management.
  4. Knowledge of Occupational Health program development and coordination.
  5. Proficiency in Health Care Management and Electronic Record Management Systems.
  6. Ability to work efficiently across functions.
  7. Strong verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills.
  8. Capability to handle medical confidentiality with tact and diplomacy.
  9. Proven ability to develop, implement, review, and monitor policies, programs, and best practices.
  10. Experience working with unionized workforces.
