Job Description

Location: Pacekids' North (Head Office) & Pacekids' South

Employment Type: Full-time Temporary 18- Months, Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 4:00pm

Paid Benefits: Flexible sick and personal time, employer-paid health and paramedical benefits, paid observance of thirteen holidays and December office closure

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Executive Director to lead our team of professionals in delivering high-quality therapeutic programs for children with diverse needs and their families.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and manage budgets for all therapeutic programsIdentify and support funding and business opportunities for PacekidsContribute to writing grants and securing research fundingSet directions and provide leadership to ECS staff in all areas of programming and service deliveryManage the development and revision of policies, guidelines, and proceduresDevelop quality standards to ensure consistent and meaningful evaluation of all programsSupport the team in responding to client concernsEnsure organizational policies, procedures and guidelines are communicated and understood by team membersWork effectively and collaboratively with the senior management teamSubmit monthly board reports to the Executive DirectorOversee the management of the agency database

Requirements:

Proven success in forecasting, developing, and managing complex budgetsPrevious direct experience working in the non-profit, education or human services sectorKnowledge and proven ability to work with ECS programming and fundingProven leadership ability and experience in recruiting, motivating, and supporting staffHuman resource knowledge and experience managing large teamsExperience with government contracts and fundingStrong time management and organizational skillsAbility to manage multiple projects or priorities simultaneouslyHigh level of effective project management skills, supervisory skills, leadership skills, facilitation skills, personal initiative and teamworkStrong focus on customer service – both internally and externallyStrong written and verbal communication skills with proficiency in the English languageExcellent computer skillsThe ability to demonstrate tact and courtesy dealing with children, families, staff, and collaborators - must be able to maintain strict confidentiality
