Valley Regional Hospital is a 137-bed facility that provides a wide range of services, including surgical, internal medicine, intensive care, emergency medicine, obstetrics, pediatrics, and radiology/diagnostic imaging. Our hospital serves the people of Kings and Annapolis Counties and provides specialty services as a referral centre for the Annapolis Valley and other areas of Western Nova Scotia.
Responsibilities- Provide anesthesia care to patients in a variety of settings, including surgical services, intensive care, and emergency medicine.
- Participate in call shifts and provide support to the Western Zone as needed.
- Be responsible for your professional responsibilities and quality of practice, reporting to the Zone Anesthesia Department Head.
- Operate within the Bylaws and Rules and Regulations of Nova Scotia Health Authority.
- Eligibility for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS).
- Eligibility for certification with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC).
- Membership with the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA).
