We are seeking an anesthesiologist to join our team at Valley Regional Hospital in Kentville, Nova Scotia.
As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work with a collegial group of anesthesiologists who value work-life balance.
Valley Regional Hospital is a 80-bed facility that provides inpatient, outpatient, and satellite care to approximately 80,000 residents in Kings and Annapolis Counties.
We offer a full range of services, including surgical services, internal medicine services, intensive care, emergency medicine, obstetrics, pediatrics, radiology/diagnostic imaging, and psychiatry/mental health and addiction services.
Responsibilities- Provide anesthesia care to patients in Western Zone, including general surgery, orthopedic surgery, obstetrics and gynecology, urology, and ENT (including pediatric inpatients)
- Participate in call shifts and provide support to the Western Zone as needed
- Be responsible to the Zone Anesthesia Department Head for professional responsibilities and quality of practice
- Operate within the Bylaws and Rules and Regulations of Nova Scotia Health Authority
- Full-time position with equal participation in 1:10 on-call schedule (on-call stipend available)
- Eligibility for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS)
- Eligibility for certification with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC)
- Membership with the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA)
