About the Opportunity

We are seeking an anesthesiologist to join our team at Valley Regional Hospital in Kentville, Nova Scotia.

The hospital serves the people of Kings and Annapolis Counties, providing specialty services as a referral centre for the Annapolis Valley and other areas of Western Nova Scotia.

As an anesthesiologist, you will work with a collegial team of ten anesthesiologists who value work-life balance.

Responsibilities
  • Provide care to patients within Western Zone, covering a full scope of practice as an anesthesiologist.
  • Participate in call shifts and provide support to the Western Zone as required.
  • Be responsible to the Zone Anesthesia Department Head for professional responsibilities and quality of practice.
  • Operate within the Bylaws and Rules and Regulations of Nova Scotia Health Authority.
Expected Hours
  • Full-time position with equal participation in a 1:10 on-call schedule.
Qualifications
  • Eligibility for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS).
  • Eligibility for certification with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC).
  • Membership with the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA).
