About the Opportunity

We are seeking an anesthesiologist to join our team at Valley Regional Hospital in Kentville, Nova Scotia.

Valley Regional Hospital is a 80-bed facility that provides inpatient, outpatient, and satellite care to the residents of Kings and Annapolis Counties.

The hospital serves as a referral centre for the Annapolis Valley and other areas of Western Nova Scotia, offering a range of services including surgical services, internal medicine, intensive care, emergency medicine, obstetrics, pediatrics, radiology, and psychiatry.

Responsibilities
  • Provide anesthesia care to patients in a variety of settings, including surgical services, intensive care, and emergency medicine.
  • Participate in call shifts and provide support to the Western Zone as needed.
  • Operate within the Bylaws and Rules and Regulations of Nova Scotia Health Authority.
Expected Hours
  • Full-time position with equal participation in a 1:10 on-call schedule.
Qualifications
  • Eligibility for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS).
  • Eligibility for certification with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC).
  • Membership with the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA).
