About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to join our team at Tandoori Zaika. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for leading our kitchen operations and ensuring that our guests receive an exceptional dining experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Estimate and manage food costs, consumption, sales, and inventory
  • Demonstrate new cooking techniques and equipment to our cooking staff
  • Create new recipes and menus that showcase our culinary expertise
  • Instruct cooks in preparation, cooking, garnishing, and presentation of food
  • Prepare and cook complete meals and specialty foods for events and banquets
  • Supervise cooks and other kitchen staff to ensure seamless kitchen operations
  • Requisition food and kitchen supplies to maintain high standards
  • Plan menus and ensure food meets quality standards
  • Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances
  • Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food
Requirements
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain attention to detail
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing menu and kitchen needs
  • Initiative to take ownership of kitchen operations and lead by example
