JOB TITLE: Cleaning and Security Operations Supervisor

REPORTING TO: Deputy Soft Service Manager

CONTRACT: Full time permanent

HOURS: 42 hours per week

SHIFT PATTERN: 4 on 4 off Night and Days on Rotation

PAY RATE: £14.31 per hour

ROLE OVERVIEW AND PURPOSE

ABM is seeking a dedicated and diligent Operations Supervisor to oversee our cleaning and security personnel. Your role will encompass the supervision of the cleaning and security teams, ensuring that all tasks are executed to the highest standards. You will be responsible for monitoring the performance of the operatives and addressing any immediate issues that arise during shifts.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Overseeing a team of cleaning and security staff
  2. Ensuring operatives meet quality standards in their work
  3. Completing necessary documentation
  4. Liaising with the Line Manager regarding team performance
  5. Training and developing team members
  6. Conducting regular team briefings
  7. Taking accountability for team outcomes
  8. Upholding Health & Safety standards

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  1. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure
  2. Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written
  3. Proficient in prioritizing tasks and fostering relationships
  4. Keen attention to detail
  5. Customer-centric mindset
  6. Proactive and positive approach to work
  7. Capability to work independently and take ownership of responsibilities
  8. Competence in following established procedures and guidelines
  9. SIA DS licence is essential; CCTV knowledge is a plus
  10. A comprehensive five-year checkable employment/education history
  11. Experience in corporate or retail security is advantageous
