Outside Sales Representative

- Conduct weekly sales calls, including servicing existing customers and expanding the account base through cold calling.
- Prepare weekly sales and call reports.
- Develop a monthly strategy for sales calls and prepare a travel calendar based on that strategy.
- Conduct area market analysis of top accounts in each area, including top dealers, contractors, and builders.
- Research market product data to determine the types, styles, and sizes most commonly purchased in the area to determine sales strategy.
- Grow market share by increasing sales and sales volume while maintaining company-approved product margin goals.
- Complete Positive Action Forms for all cold calls resulting in a display, rack, and/or sale.
- Utilize influence and negotiation skills to sell and/or place displays in customer showrooms.
- Conduct client follow-ups via phone calls, letters, and emails.
- Establish and maintain client files and perform timely follow-up on programs and projects.
- Provide PK seminars to customers.
- Utilize On Demand reporting to achieve sales objectives.
- High school diploma and some college education highly preferred.
- Computer skills include functional Microsoft Word, Excel, and Lotus Notes/email knowledge.
- A clean driving record and reliable transportation required.
- 4 years prior selling experience.
- Prior customer service experience a plus.
- Proven ability to work in an unstructured, unsupervised environment required.
- While performing the duties of this job, the associate is required to frequently lift 50 pounds.
