Pinchin Ltd. is seeking a skilled Geographic Information Systems Administrator to enhance our Integrated Digital Services (IDS) Team. This position is crucial for the oversight, upkeep, and enhancement of our Geographic Information System (GIS) infrastructure. The role entails managing the deployment of GIS software, databases, and associated technologies, along with offering technical assistance and training to users.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and manage GIS and ETL (extract, transform, load) platforms, databases, and servers.
  • Establish and enforce GIS data management policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Maintain and support Esri ArcGIS Enterprise environments, including Portal, Datastore, and ArcGIS Server, ensuring timely upgrades to the latest versions.
  • Create and manage user documentation, operational processes, and server configurations.
  • Provide expert recommendations regarding GIS policies and software acquisitions.
  • Conduct data acquisition, transformation, integration, and quality assurance tasks.
  • Design and sustain GIS data layers, maps, and applications within the Esri enterprise portal.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical challenges related to GIS and FME software, hardware, and data.
  • Collaborate with the IT department to identify security requirements for the GIS platform and develop effective solutions.
  • Stay informed about GIS industry advancements, technologies, and best practices.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of GIS projects and initiatives.
  • Perform routine ArcGIS software updates through both manual and automated processes.
  • Manage Active Directory objects for GIS application and data access.
  • Integrate data from various record systems to meet customer needs.
  • Ensure data security and adherence to policies and privacy regulations.
  • Comprehend and apply the life cycle of ArcGIS and FME products.
  • Develop procedural standards and documentation for the GIS department.
  • Utilize programming skills in SQL, JS, Python, and Arcade.
  • Execute additional related tasks as required.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in GIS, Computer Science/Engineering, Geography, or a related field with at least 8 years of relevant experience.
  • Proficient understanding of the ArcGIS Enterprise Platform (ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Server, SDE) and AutoCAD.
  • Proven experience in data integration, geodatabase development, and management of geospatial datasets.
  • Familiarity with data integration from diverse sources is essential.
  • Experience with ETL tools such as Safe Software FME is required.
  • Proficient in programming with Python, JS, or R, and executing complex SQL queries on geodatabases.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
  • Ability to read, understand, and verify all written communications and reports.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, accuracy, and attention to detail are necessary.
  • Valid driver's license with adequate insurance and access to a vehicle.
