About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and creative Retail Brand Concepts Designer to join our team at Arc'teryx. As a key member of our Retail Brand pod, you will be responsible for developing innovative concepts and designs that bring our brand to life across various channels.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and refine future-thinking brand displays, leveraging your expertise in retail design, environmental design, and architectural design.
  • Concept and iterate on designs for all retail channels, including flagship stores, brand stores, partner stores, and tradeshows.
  • Communicate our brand effectively through visualization and presentation, ensuring a high level of fidelity through rendering.
  • Prepare and present conceptual presentations and design intents to key stakeholders, maintaining a clear and concise communication style.
  • Partner closely with the Senior Concepts Designer to align on strategies, workflows, and future design development.
  • Support production teams with build guides and design details, ensuring seamless execution.
  • Collaborate with Brand Operations partners to track time-sensitive deadlines and ensure timely delivery.
  • Support other design and production activities as assigned.
Future Opportunities
  • Concept and design a pop-up store for a future product line.
  • Help shape and refine global retail design guidelines.
  • Design an experiential event for a global marketing campaign.
  • Research new market trends, innovative materials, and processes related to retail design.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in Graphic Arts, Architecture, Industrial Design, Design, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in retail design, environmental design, architectural design, experiential design, graphic design, or a combination of related work experience.
  • Excellent design and verbal/visual communication skills.
  • Ability to create, understand, and translate 3D concepts into 2D mock-ups.
  • Experience with both Mac and PC platforms.
  • Proficiency in Adobe CC Suite, SketchUp, Rhino, VRay or KeyShot, Smartsheet, and MS Office.
  • Demonstrated ability to proof-read text in English to a very high standard.
  • Strong knowledge of the current retail landscape and the latest trends and innovations.
  • Ability to drive work to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Extremely organized.
  • Detail-oriented with a meticulous eye for visual consistency.
  • Driven to problem-solve and open to learning.
  • Proactive in identifying the root cause of issues and developing solutions.
  • Highly flexible and adaptable when faced with ambiguity.
