About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled IT Support Specialist to join our team at the Tomlinson Group of Companies. As an IT Support Specialist, you will be responsible for providing technical support and assistance to our employees and customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Resolve technical issues and provide support to employees and customers
  • Maintain a high level of technical knowledge and expertise in desktop support and troubleshooting
  • Analyze and document critical issues and escalate them to the appropriate support groups
  • Stay up-to-date with new hardware and software technologies and provide recommendations for implementation
  • Review and respond to technical support requests in a timely manner
  • Collaborate with other IT departments on assigned projects and issues
  • Diagnose and repair hardware problems, set up and configure equipment, and perform preventative maintenance
  • Install and configure operating systems and software according to company standards
  • Provide support for laptop, desktop, phone, and tablet devices
  • Support various line of business specific equipment
  • Work on new technology rollouts and train users on various systems
  • Document technical issues and knowledge base articles

Working Conditions

  • Primarily work in a standard office environment with some support of field office and plant operations
  • May be required to work weekends or evenings

Requirements

  • 3 years of related experience
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Industry certifications such as A+, MCP, MCSE, MCITP EA/SA, CCNA/CCNP, VCP, ITIL
  • Experience with switches and routing configuration
  • Graduation from a recognized post-secondary program
  • Ability to troubleshoot technical issues
  • Excellent knowledge of Windows 10-11 and MS Office M365 applications
  • Understanding of enterprise mobile support and mobile device OS and applications
  • Knowledge of network configuration and protocols
  • Knowledge of automated software deployment methods and SCCM
  • Strong PC hardware knowledge and skills
  • Ability to travel locally
  • Flexible and self-motivated with a strong work ethic
  • Strong documentation and team player skills
