Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented IT Support Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our support team, you will be responsible for providing technical assistance to our clients, resolving issues, and implementing solutions to meet their IT needs.
Key Responsibilities- Technical Support: Provide timely and effective technical support to clients, including troubleshooting, resolving issues, and implementing solutions.
- System Administration: Manage and maintain client IT systems, including servers, networks, and desktops.
- Project Management: Assist in the planning, execution, and delivery of IT projects, including server deployments, network upgrades, and system migrations.
- Training and Development: Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and best practices.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and management to ensure seamless delivery of IT services.
- Education: 1+ years of technical experience in IT support or a related field.
- Skills: Rudimentary knowledge of Microsoft desktop operating systems and Office suites/365, as well as networking technology and theory.
- Certifications: Network+ certification or commensurate experience.
- Other: Valid Class G driver's license and vehicle for travel throughout the National Capital Region, and full COVID-19 vaccination.
- Microsoft Server Operating Systems: Experience with Microsoft server operating systems from 2012R2 and higher, Exchange, SQL, SharePoint, Active Directory, Group Policy, remote desktop services, virtualization, etc.
- Virtualization: Experience with virtualization deployments (Hyper-V/VMWare).
- Data Backup Systems: Experience with installation and support of data backup systems, AV platforms, etc.
- Server Administration: Experience with Dell PowerEdge Servers and iDRAC configurations.
- Scripting: Experience with Microsoft PowerShell.
