Job Title: CAE Engineer

Overview:

The CAE Engineer will play a crucial role in enhancing vehicle safety through advanced simulation techniques. This position involves the development of comprehensive finite element models for vehicle crash scenarios utilizing ANSA, alongside conducting analyses with LS-DYNA software to evaluate crashworthiness in accordance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Durability Assessment: Lead the computer-aided engineering initiatives for vehicle projects, ensuring meticulous planning and execution of durability-related CAE tasks.
  • Risk Evaluation: Provide thorough program risk assessments and facilitate CAE review sessions.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with design and testing engineers to ensure cohesive project execution.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in CAE durability analysis within the automotive sector.
  • Solid understanding of principles related to solid mechanics, durability, fatigue, vibration, and dynamics.
  • Proficient in CAE software tools such as ABAQUS, FEMFAT, nCode, ANSA, Hypermesh, and Optistruct.
  • Strong foundation in computer simulation, numerical methodologies, and finite element analysis (FEA) theory.
  • Excellent verbal communication and presentation capabilities.
  • Willingness to travel for professional engagements.
  • Extensive experience with Abaqus and fatigue analysis software.
  • Robust analytical and technical skills in quasi-static, non-linear, durability, and random vibration analyses.
  • In-depth knowledge of structural dynamics.
  • Familiarity with Linux/UNIX environments.
  • Understanding of optimization and Design of Experiments (DOE) methodologies.
  • Solid grasp of automotive systems.
  • Programming skills in commercial software (e.g., Python, Fortran, Visual Basic, C++, or Matlab Simulink).
  • Exceptional organizational, communication, and teamwork abilities.
  • Proficient in standard office software applications.

Educational Background:

  • A Master's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering is required.
