Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Vehicle Safety Analysis Engineer to join our team. This role involves the development of comprehensive vehicle crash finite element models utilizing ANSA, followed by performing simulations with LS-DYNA software to evaluate vehicle crashworthiness in accordance with industry standards and third-party evaluation criteria.

The successful candidate will leverage analysis outcomes to formulate design strategies that fulfill vehicle safety mandates and will effectively communicate findings to various engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Durability Assessment: Lead the computer-aided engineering efforts for vehicle projects, including the planning and execution of durability CAE tasks.
  • Conduct program risk evaluations and facilitate CAE review sessions.
  • Collaborate closely with design and testing engineers to ensure alignment on project objectives.
Required Qualifications:
  • Significant experience in CAE durability analysis within the automotive sector.
  • Strong foundation in solid mechanics, durability, fatigue, vibration, and dynamics.
  • Proven proficiency with CAE software such as ABAQUS, FEMFAT, nCode, ANSA, Hypermesh, and Optistruct.
  • Solid understanding of computer simulations, numerical methodologies, and finite element analysis (FEA) principles.
  • Excellent verbal communication and presentation capabilities.
  • Willingness to travel for meetings as required.
  • Expertise in using Abaqus and fatigue analysis software.
  • Robust analytical and technical skills in quasi-static, non-linear, durability, fatigue, and random vibration analyses.
  • In-depth knowledge of structural dynamics.
  • Familiarity with Linux/UNIX operating systems.
  • Understanding of optimization and Design of Experiments (DOE) methodologies.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of automotive systems.
  • Proficient in programming with commercial software (Python, Fortran, Visual Basic, C++, or Matlab Simulink).
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and teamwork abilities.
  • Proficient in the use of office productivity software.
Educational Background:
  • Master's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering.
