Position Overview:

The role of the CAE Engineer encompasses the development of comprehensive vehicle crash finite element models utilizing ANSA, alongside conducting analyses with LS-DYNA software to evaluate vehicle crashworthiness in accordance with regulatory standards and third-party assessments.

The selected candidate will leverage analysis outcomes to devise design solutions that fulfill vehicle safety mandates and will effectively communicate and present findings to various engineering teams.


Durability Responsibilities:

This position is accountable for the computer-aided engineering functions for vehicle projects, including the planning and execution of durability CAE tasks. The engineer will conduct program risk evaluations and facilitate CAE reviews, collaborating closely with design and testing engineers.


Qualifications:

  • A Master's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering
  • Several years of experience in CAE durability analysis within the automotive sector
  • Proficient understanding of solid mechanics, durability/fatigue, vibration, and dynamics
  • Proven experience with CAE software such as ABAQUS, FEMFAT or nCode, ANSA, Hypermesh, Optistruct, etc.
  • Strong grasp of computer simulation, numerical methods, and FEA theory
  • Excellent verbal communication and presentation abilities
  • Willingness to travel for meetings as required
Preferred Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience with Abaqus and fatigue analysis software
  • Strong analytical and technical expertise in quasi-static, non-linear analysis, durability/fatigue analysis, and random vibration analysis
  • In-depth knowledge of structural dynamics
  • Familiarity with Linux/UNIX operating systems
  • Understanding of optimization and Design of Experiments (DOE) methodologies
  • Solid knowledge of automotive systems
  • Proficient programming skills in commercial software (Python, Fortran, Visual Basic, C++, or Matlab Simulink)
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational, communication, and teamwork capabilities
  • Proficient in the use of office software
Additional Information:

  • A valid driver's license and a clean driving record may be required for certain responsibilities.
  • Domestic and international travel may be necessary.
