Position Overview

The General Manager at DSONS TRANSPORT LTD. plays a crucial role in overseeing the operational efficiency of our trucking services. This position requires a blend of leadership, strategic planning, and industry knowledge.

Qualifications
  • Education: Completion of a college, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma program lasting 1 to 2 years.
  • Experience: A minimum of 1 year and up to 2 years in a relevant managerial role.
Key Responsibilities
  • Authorize and organize the creation of key departments and senior staff roles.
  • Coordinate activities across various regions, divisions, or departments to ensure seamless operations.
  • Set organizational objectives and develop or endorse policies and programs to achieve them.
  • Act as a representative of the organization in negotiations or other official capacities, or delegate this responsibility as necessary.
  • Select and empower middle managers, directors, or other executive personnel, ensuring they have the authority needed to excel.
Supervisory Responsibilities

Oversee a team of 5-10 individuals, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.

Technical Proficiency
  • Proficient in MS Excel, MS Office, and MS Word.
Travel Requirements

Willingness to travel regularly is essential for this role.
