Role Summary

We are seeking a Broker Bill Reconciler to enhance our Agency Bill Team.

In this dynamic position, you will take charge of reconciling Agency Bill Accounts, ensuring our receivables remain up to date. Collaboration with regional partners will be essential in resolving discrepancies, and your efficiency will be crucial in processing payments accurately.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately post broker payments and statements to our accounts receivable system while maintaining an organized electronic filing system.
  • Conduct daily and monthly reconciliations of assigned broker accounts through thorough analysis, research, and resolution of outstanding transactions.
  • Work closely with brokers and underwriting teams to address and resolve discrepancies.
  • Maintain precise electronic records of all communications, including follow-ups.
  • Respond to incoming inquiries related to Agency Bill.
  • Timely escalate issues with problematic brokers and unresolved discrepancies.
  • Prepare for and actively participate in broker meetings and discussions.
  • Utilize various software applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, to create spreadsheets and update databases.

Qualifications:

  • Strong customer service orientation to foster positive business relationships and negotiate effectively with brokers and underwriters.
  • Detail-oriented, highly organized, and capable of prioritizing workload efficiently.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient computer skills, particularly advanced Excel capabilities.
  • Solid understanding of fundamental accounting principles.
  • Resourceful and able to manage tight deadlines, especially at month-end.
  • College diploma in accounting (preferred) or equivalent education and experience.
  • A minimum of one year of experience in a similar role.
  • Consistently deliver high-quality work with respect to both accuracy and volume.
  • Asset: Bilingual in English and French.
  • No Canadian work experience is required; however, eligibility to work in Canada is necessary.
